Protesta dei lavoratori della cava Pellegrino di Custonaci che, per colpa dell’Agenzia dei beni confiscati hanno perso il posto
Quello che sta succedendo ai 32 lavoratori dell’azienda Group Pellegrino Import Export Srl è l’ultimo esempio di come non c’è alcuna volontà, da parte dell’Agenzia dei beni sequestrati e confiscati alla criminalità organizzata, diretta dal prefetto Postiglione, di occuparsi della gestione attiva dei beni confiscati ai mafiosi, e soprattutto di tutelare il loro posto di lavoro. La cava è sita a Custonaci ed è stata a suo tempo posta sotto sequestro per collusioni mafiose imputabili alla Siciliana inerti bituminosi. La Pellegrino group aveva preso in affitto il terreno dall’Agenzia e realizzato una cava per l’estrazione del marmo garantendo il posto di lavoro a 32 lavoratori, ma per oscuri motivi l’agenzia ha risolto unilateralmente il contratto e, già nell’ottobre scorso tutto è stato fermato, nonostante l’azienda avesse chiesto di poterla acquistare o di proseguire con il contratto di affitto apportando una rimodulazione dei canoni.
Accanto ai quattro operai già licenziati i 28 restanti, con l’intervento dei sindacati confederali stanno portando avanti una dura lotta di protesta, in considerazione del lavoro perduto, ma anche degli investimenti fatti a suo tempo per rendere attiva la cava. Già nell’ottobre scorso il deputato 5 stelle Santangelo aveva presentato un’interrogazione al Ministro dell’interno, definendo la Group Pellegrino Srl “un modello da non imitare, specie se poi a pagarne le conseguenze sono persone che hanno ancora il coraggio di credere nelle istituzioni e di investire “tempo e denaro” su beni, cui spesso i mafiosi non si rassegnano facilmente alla perdita”. Santangelo aveva chiesto al Ministro: “Chi risarcirà i danni? Che fine faranno i lavoratori?”
Silenzio assordante sa parte dell’Agenzia affittuaria e volontà decisa di andare avanti per difendere lavoro e investimenti, da parte dei lavoratori. Forse giovedì prossimo, su sollecitazione del prefetto di Trapani qualcuno si alzerà dalla sedia che occupa all’Agenzia per avere un incontro con i lavoratori sulla base dei tanti “vedremo quello che si può fare”. Eppure è così semplice! Basterebbe ripristinare il contratto di affitto e così si garantirebbe anche un introito allo stato. Come mai non ci hanno pensato? Oppure, in subordine, licenziare di colpo il funzionario dell’Agenzia che non ha voluto ripristinare il contratto d’affitto e mandarlo a lavorare nella cava che ha fatto chiudere. Ma siamo sempre lì. Chi sta in alto non paga, chi sta in basso la prende…
