Interessante puntata, il 15 febbraio, ad Atlantide, sul tema: “Nel regno dell’omertà: i misteri di Messina Denaro”. La ricerca dei fiancheggiatori del boss che ne hanno favorito la latitanza ha portato direttamente alla massoneria e al pullulare di logge e di sportelli bancari a Trapani. Sono venuti fuori insospettabili collegamenti tra esponenti della magistratura, delle forze dell’ordine, cariche dello stato ai più alti livelli significativi anche anche i nomi di capicosca di primo piano, come i Minore, gli Agate, i Milazzo, i Rimi e Vincenzo Virga, i Messina Denaro, per non parlare di altri dei quali non si è fatto cenno, soprattutto i Salvo, autentica cerniera tra mafia , politica e massoneria, la cui presenza ci porta subito a Stefano Bontade e a Badalamenti, autentici signori della droga e del traffico di armi in Sicilia. Inevitabilmente viene fuori il guazzabuglio che ha inquinato l’Italia dagli anni 70 in poi, con la presenza di Gladio sul territorio e una militarizzazione mafiosa del territorio della quale saranno vittime non solo gli ignari cittadini, ma anche i due carabinieri della casermetta di Alcamo Marina Apuzza e Falcetta, insieme ad alcune persone che minacciavano di mettere a rischio gli equilibri di potere sedimentati sul territorio, come Mauro Rostagno, Carlo Palermo, il magistrato Ciaccio Montalto e, anni prima, Peppino Impastato. Mancava nell’ elenco anche la potente mafia di Castellammare del Golfo, con i suoi imperi americani retti dal Joe Bonanno e da una serie di altre grandi famiglie mafiose. La ricostruzione della vita e dell’attività di Mauro Rostagno è stata puntuale e corretta, dopo tutti i vari tentativi di depistaggio che ne hanno ritardato la sentenza di trent’anni. In tal senso il Procuratore Gaetano Paci, che si è occupato del processo, è stato chiarissimo, denunciando omissioni, occultamento di prove, tentativi di costruire un omicidio in famiglia o una vendetta tra i compagni di Lotta Continua, ipotesi investigativa che, secondo Deaglio diede il via libera, da parte della mafia, all’esecuzione di Rostagno. Altrettanto corretta la denuncia del depistaggio delle indagini sull’omicidio di Peppino Impastato, gestito dal maggiore Subranni, e molto efficace il parallelo tra due persone che in Sicilia segnano , assieme a Giuseppe Fava, un grande passo in avanti sul fare informazione sollevando il velo di complicità e coperture che spingono al silenzio, al ricatto, all’omicidio, ove il sistema di potere minacci di essere in pericolo. Per quel che riguarda le interviste a me e a Giovanni, abbiamo evidenziato il circuito di affari e violenze presenti in un territorio in cui il controllo dell’aeroporto significava anche una disinvolta attività di esportazione della droga, raffinata da mani esperte tra Trapani e Palermo. Insomma la trasmissione ha gettato qualche sprazzo di luce in una realtà ancora coperta da un buio fitto di legami istituzionali e affaristici. Mi permetto di suggerire a Purgatori l’approfondimento di quest’ultimo aspetto che vede, sempre in quella ricca zona, traffici di migranti, import-export di olio e vino, parchi eolici e pannelli solari su sterminate distese, cave di calcestruzzo, mercato del pesce e circuiti turistici.
