L’Università Kore di Enna rimette la querela nei confronti di Salvo Vitale e di Riccardo Orioles

Lunedì 27 febbraio, al tribunale di Enna, è stata messa la parola fine a una diatriba che si trascinava dal 2016 a seguito di un articolo pubblicato dall’emittente privata di Partinico Telejato e riportato anche sul suo sito, dal titolo “Kore, Kore, core mio…”. Quel servizio aveva causato una denunzia per diffamazione nei confronti di Vitale, autore dell’articolo e di Orioles, direttore del telegiornale, da parte dell’Università Kore e sollevato una serie di polemiche e discussioni degne di migliore altra causa.
La presidenza della Kore ha accolto una richiesta inoltrata da Salvo Vitale, difeso dall’avv. Bartolomeo Parrino, nella quale si è puntualizzato che “al centro del servizio non voleva esserci l’Università Kore, ma uno dei suoi docenti prof. Carmelo Provenzano, individuato, nei riscontri processuali come uno dei tanti componenti di quel “cerchio magico” che faceva capo all’allora presidente dell’Ufficio Misure di Prevenzione del Tribunale di Palermo.
“Dalle intercettazioni, e successivamente dagli atti giudiziari e dall’esito del processo che si è svolto a Caltanissetta contro la Saguto e i suoi complici – ha scritto Vitale in una lettera indirizzata al Presidente della Kore – quanto da me sostenuto attraverso l’emittente in cui lavoro saltuariamente e volontariamente, ha ricevuto una precisa conferma, attraverso una ben nota sentenza. So bene che la Kore ha escluso dal proprio corpo docente il prof. Provenzano, dopo che sono emerse le sue responsabilità. Personalmente – continua Vitale – non ho mai avuto intenzione di diffamare l’intera istituzione universitaria ennese, anzi ho scritto altre volte che essa svolge un ruolo importante come polo di riferimento culturale al centro della Sicilia, in un territorio abbandonato a se stesso dallo stato. Capita spesso di generalizzare giudizi che appartengono solo a una parte. A distanza di quasi sei anni tutto è profondamente cambiato, anche all’interno dell’Università, che ha elevato di molto lo standard culturale sia dei docenti che degli studenti e, riprendere quei momenti, non sembra giovare a nessuna delle due parti in causa. Ho apprezzato – aggiunge – l’inchiesta interna che ha portato al risultato di ‘potare’ alcuni rami secchi dell’Istituzione universitaria e il progressivo lavoro di rinnovamento che sta avendo anche riconoscimenti nazionali. Atti e risultati processuali hanno alla fine dato ragione alla nostra richiesta e al nostro impegno per una profonda revisione della normativa sulle misure di prevenzione. Pertanto – conclude Vitale – porgo un invito a rimettere la querela, mentre, per quel che mi riguarda ho già provveduto alla rimozione dal sito di Telejato dell’articolo che ha causato tutta la vicenda. Cordialmente prof. Salvo Vitale“.
Attraverso il legale della Kore, l’avv. Impellizzeri, la querela è stata rimessa, previa accettazione di quest’atto da parte degli imputati e la vicenda è stata chiusa.
