A Trappeto rinasce l’antico Scaro. Dopo lo sgombero delle imbarcazioni arriva la bonifica
Dopo le denunce del quotidiano "Il Tarlo" e la segnalazione del primo cittadino alla Capitaneria di Porto. La bonifica grazie a Puc e ad un progetto del Distretto 41
Dopo le ripetute denunce del quotidiano “Il Tarlo” e lo sgomento in presa diretta di molti cittadini il sindaco di Trappeto Santo Cosentino è andato all’attacco degli abusivi del vecchio Scaro marittimo segnalando i natanti ed i rifiuti che deturpavano l’area alla Capitaneria di Porto. Uno dei luoghi più antichi di Trappeto torna così ai livelli di vivibilità degni di un paese civile dopo la rimozione delle numerose imbarcazioni che per anni avevano trasformato la zona – tra le più interessanti attrattive del centro abitato – in un rimessaggio a cielo aperto dove rifiuti e scarti di lavorazione si estendevano a perdita d’occhio fino alla spiaggetta,. Via anche i pontili delle case che – di fatto – diventavano estensioni delle abitazioni durante il periodo estivo ed inutili elementi di intralcio durante l’inverno.
In questi giorni PUC lavoratori in forza ad un progetto sociale del Distretto 41 hanno bonificato l’area dalle immondizie lasciate dai diportisti gli interventi massicci di pulizia, già segnalati dagli amministratori, sono stati richiesti con rinnovato ardore dopo la denuncia de “Il Tarlo” in cui veniva mostrato senza censure lo stato di abbandono e l’anarchia dei proprietari delle imbarcazioni parcheggiate sullo scivolo di accesso al mare, una devastazione a cui sindaco e amministrazione hanno saputo opporsi facendo leva sulla competenza della Capitaneria di Porto. In merito ai lavoratori socialmente utili esprime soddisfazione il vicesindaco ed assessore Rosita Orlando: «Siamo fieri di questi ragazzi che hanno sposato a pieno l’impegno per Trappeto, ognuno di loro lavora senza risparmiarsi e grazie a questo impegno il paese sta tornando a splendere. Dopo aver portato ordine e pulizia nelle periferie – continua l’assessore alla solidarietà trappetese – ci stiamo concentrando nel centro abitato e nei punti strategici in previsione della bella stagione e per garantire maggior decoro urbano per tutti i cittadini. Personalmente sono più che soddisfatta di quanto fatto, a tal proposito voglio ricordare che Trappeto è tra i paesi che meglio valorizza il lavoro socialmente utile con ben 19 ragazzi, grazie a questo impegno comune anche lo Scaro è tornato a brillare.»
Nei giorni scorsi il primo cittadino Cosentino si è espresso sulla rinascita dello Scaro marittimo e sui progetti ad esso connessi: «Ci stiamo impegnando per la rinascita dello Scaro – dichiara il sindaco Cosentino – la rimozione definitiva delle barche dopo 50 anni è un primo risultato, ma ha un grande valore simbolico. Il Comune di Trappeto ha già pronto un progetto di riqualificazione urbana del lungomare di Trappeto con aree pedonali permanenti ed un area fitness per gli sportivi. L’intento è quello di creare un circuito pedonale cittadino che colleghi il lungomare al centro storico ed alle piazze, a tal proposito – conclude Cosentino – vogliamo collegare il centro storico al lungomare attraverso lo Scaro consegnando finalmente questo bellissimo scorcio di Trappeto a cittadini e turisti.»
